Listening in my backyard

20 minutes of listening in my backyard in NYC

For this assignment I sat in my backyard early in the morning for 20 minutes and just wrote down what I heard. Mostly, of course, I heard traffic noises and horns, but once I was able to filter that out it was quite peaceful with birds, people walking and leaves rustling. It is interesting to think of the soundscape interms of recreating it. It would be important to include the traffic noise but I would want to filter the noise of cars and ambos and honking lower, just the way our ears do.
